Focus Under Fire Scholarship Program

Focus Under Fire is Battle Tested Nursing’s semester-based $500 scholarship for nursing students who turn pressure into progress. Funds come from BTN profits and are awarded by a three-person independent board (RN, DO, and a school teacher) located across states. Nurse Mindy will not review applications to ensure impartiality.

Eligibility U.S. residents or students enrolled in accredited nursing programs (ADN/ASN, BSN, MSN, DNP, etc.). Must be in good standing with their school. ADHD-friendly: applicants may self-identify; no medical documentation required. Not a BTN employee or immediate family member.

Application Prompt The only required question is: What does success look like to you? 300–500 words. Review & Selection Blind reviews by the three-person board (RN, DO, School Teacher). Rubric: 0–5 per criterion (clarity of vision, feasibility, impact, alignment with BTN). Majority vote decides awards. All data treated confidentially. Funding & Disbursement $500 scholarships funded by BTN profits. Amounts and number of awards depend on available funds. Payments go to the recipient’s school or per policy.

Timeline (First Cycle — August 2026) Application window: May 15, 2026 – August 31, 2026. Winners announced: Sept 15, 2026. Funds disbursed by Sept 30, 2026. First awards apply to the August 2026 semester.

Is medical proof required to apply?

No. Applicants may self-identify as ADHD or neurodivergent. No medical documentation is required.

Who can apply?

Can I reapply if I don’t win?

Yes. Reapply each semester.

How are privacy and confidentiality handled?

Identifying information is redacted during blind review; only non-identifying data is used for scoring. All data treated as confidential.
